About me
Sean Tufts' focus on Critical Infrastructure is born from deep industry experience having spent most of his career in Oil & Gas and Electric utility operations. He's a former NFL Linebacker for the Carolina Panthers turned Critical Infrastructure security leader.
Post NFL, he developed land positions for utility scale wind farms. This experience graduated to the development, consecution and operations of the farms. Sean had a hand in over 3,500 MW of operating assets across the west. His operations experience transitioned into General Electric in 2015, where he joined the recently acquired Wurldtech team. This team built a risk assessment program for the top 300 GE products. This team zero day discovery on GE products and lead efforts to improve the security posture in our client environments.
Sean joined Optiv in 2017 to kick start the OT Security practice which now supports over $30M/per Anum in security technology and service revenue. In 2024, Sean was promoted to Managing Partner supporting Critical Infrastructure clients in their Security Transformation Journey
